Happy Valentines

s

We spent Valentines in St. George. Spencer was filming some horses in St. George with my dad and they were kind enough to let us tag along. Even though they never filmed when we were there. And had to go back down a couple days later to film them!

It was sooo warm, and beautiful. 60-65 degrees! We spent lots of time at the park and outside. My mom and I went to the parade of homes down there. We fell in LOVE with one of the houses. Dad....we LOVE it ! wink :)

Also another event to remember. Never, ever leave your wallet and purse in your room! The first night we got there, we went swimming about two hours after we checked into our room. Which was at about 7:30 p.m.. The next day Spencer noticed all the cash was missing from his wallet. We frantically searched the room, and missed church searching for the money. Thinking Beckam had gotten into his wallet. Then we checked my wallet and found the cash was missing from mine as well! Totalling about $360. AHHH! Such a horrible feeling. That is A LOT of money to us! After stewing for about an hour I finally told Spencer to walk up to the front counter (politely, cause he was kinda fuming) and just see if they have had any fraud. They hadn't had any reported. So we asked if we could see the records from the door to see when our keys were used. Come to find out, five minutes after we left, a house managers key was used in our room TWICE while we were swimming!! There was absolutely no reason anyone should have have been in our room. We had just checked in. We filed a police report and found out from the cop, that it was a key that only a couple of people have, high up in management. We were at the Holiday Inn. Its a nice a hotel. I have stayed there a million of times. Never thought something like this could happen there. The manager said he has worked there for six years and has never had a problem like this. Though with the evidence he could not dispute it. So he gave us our stay for free. Next time I guess our wallets will be coming down to the pool!

St. George Temple.
I love this temple. It's so white. And looks so pretty next to the red mountians and blue sky.

On Sunday night, Katelyn tripped over some cement in the parking lot and scraped up her knee. As you can see it is a very little scratch that bleed for about a minute. But for Kate, this was a HUGE ordeal. She cried for about a half hour. She asked if she needed to go to the hospital. And literally limped around for two days complaining she couldn't walk! Ha, Ha! She is so funny. And very Dramatic!

Harley

Who knew potty training a dog would be so hard! He is almost there. He has the occasional accident! ahhh so frustrating sometimes. Fortunately he has been the PERFECT dog other then that. The kids ADORE him. Beckam is best friends with him. Harley follows him everywhere. Sometimes I think Beckam has picked up some bad habits from Harley.

To name a few...

He loves to play fetch

Likes me to call him over like a puppy to get his diaper changed ( and is pretty much the only way I can get him to get it changed voluntarily)

He has peed on my floor

I have found him drinking out of the dog bowl

And drinking out of the toilet! Yes the toilet. Needless to say the bathroom door is now always shut!!

This last week Harely was neutered ( he was starting to love Beckam a little too much!) The poor puppy has had to wear this funnel for the last week. It is finally off though and he is much happier.

Any tips to potty train this little guy all the way... would be greatly appreciated!

Jan/Feb/March

I REALLY dislike these three months! It drags. It's so depressing, and cold, and gray! These three months to me seem like a year! If it's going to be winter this long it might as well snow, and snow a lot. Give us some excitement, with a big storm, and make things look somewhat pretty again with the snow. All I see right now is that everything is dead and gray and cold. Forgive me for my complaining but, I am ready for SPRING. So please come soon so when I walk outside I can smile again!

Since we are pretty much trapped inside. We have tried to stay busy and find fun things to do inside. We have visited the Dino museum several times, Kangaroo Zoo a couple of times, been to several movies.Playing with friends. And have watched way too many movies during the day at our house!!!

Katelyn and Beckam do a good job of finding things to do. Some that make me laugh!

A few pics of the last month

Katelyn LOVES to change ten times a day! Into some pretty silly outfits. She thinks she looks good though! These are all in a days work. I thought I would keep count of how many outfits she puts on in one day by taking a picture of them. I missed a few outfits.

A couple of times I have found this little guy walking around my house with Q tips sticking out of his hears!

Beckam kept snuggling up to uncle Guy during games. Gotta love the little toes poking out of his pjs.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas Morning!

A puppy for Christmas!!

If you know me very well, you know I am NOT a dog person. Or a pet person for that matter! Unfortunately the rest of my family has been begging for a puppy! And three votes over rule my one vote. So Katelyn got a new puppy from Santa this year. His name is Harley. He is a Shih Tzu. So far he has been really mellow and loving. He is very afraid of my little Beckam. Who chases him around the house like Frankenstein. I think I can learn to love him... so far he is making it pretty easy. Plus I think he is pretty cute. He is really fluffy right now, and is in need of a trim. We had to cut the hair around his eyes so we could see them.

So fun watching the kids open presents. Especially Beckam. He finally figured out the unwrapping part. When all his presents were open he had a major meltdown when he could open any of the others. It was kind funny!

I don't really know why get got Beckam anything. The ONLY things he has played with are Katelyn's toys. And the dogs toys!!

Christmas Eve

I don't know why but I have always loved Christmas Eve! It's so fun. Even more so with our kids. We are always splitting the night up with both sides of the family. We started out with Thomas' visiting Becky, followed by a yummy dinner and games. Then rushed to the Northrup's for a party with my moms family! My kids were super tired by the end. Luckily they stayed awake to make it home and get in PJ'S and leave some food out for Santa's reindeer.

Some of the Thomas Fam

While waiting for dinner Aunt Kim made this hat for Katelyn! The entire hat in like twenty minutes. She loves it. And has pretty much been wearing it 24/7.

Kate with Great Grandma Ivy.

At my moms we always have another fabulous dinner. After we all sit around telling Christmas stories, and singing Christmas songs. Katelyn sang Jingle Bells in front of everyone, all by herself. She loved it so much she insisted on singing another in front of everyone....even though it wasn't a Christmas song ( I am a Child of God).
